FAQs

  • How often should I do this package?
    Every 3 months if HbA1c is above 7%, or your doctor has just changed medication. Every 6 months if diabetes is well-controlled and stable.
  • Should I skip my diabetes medication?
    Do not take metformin or insulin before the fasting blood draw. Bring them with you and take immediately after.
  • What about the PPBS — when do I do that?
    Eat your normal breakfast right after the fasting draw. Return to the centre 2 hours after the first bite for the PPBS sample.
  • Why microalbumin?
    Diabetes silently damages kidneys for years before standard tests show changes. Microalbumin catches this damage when it can still be slowed or stopped.
